Right-Sided Conditions — Symbolic + Somatic Interpretation
Somatic Theme:
The right side of the body represents the masculine, active, expressive, and outward-facing aspects of the self. It is the side associated with doing, giving, action, performance, identity, and forward movement. When symptoms appear predominantly on the right, the body often signals an imbalance in output, responsibility, boundaries, or external pressure — especially around achievement, expectations, or relational roles.
Common Emotional Patterns:
Over-functioning or over-performing
Difficulty slowing down or resting
Feeling responsible for others’ needs
Pressure to achieve, succeed, or “hold it together”
Over-giving without receiving
Identity strain (who you are vs. who you perform as)
Difficulty expressing needs or emotions
Fear of disappointing others
Conflict between inner truth and outer expectations
Symbolic Summary
